The Office of the Public Guardian has announced that there are refunds due for all registration fees for Lasting Powers of Attorney and Enduring Powers of Attorney for the period 1 April 2013 to 31 March 2017. The reason for these refunds is that the Office of the Public Guardian are only allowed to charge enough to cover the costs, it has now transpired that they were overcharging and therefore making a profit from the fees charged.
The refunds due are as follows:-

April 2014 to March 2015 £37
April 2015 to March 2016 £38
April 2016 to March 2017 £45

We are expecting to hear from the Office of the Public Guardian in relation to any documents registered via ourselves however the quickest and easiest approach to obtain a refund is to complete the online claim form. Refunds can be paid to the donor, attorneys or the executors of the donor if that person has passed away.
