THP THREE QUESTIONS: Meet Kathryn Bagley – Residential Property Chartered Legal Executive & Licensed Conveyancer

We believe one of the keys to giving our clients a personal service tailored to their needs is getting to know who they are. So, we’ve turned the tables by asking each member of our staff three questions, to introduce you to them. Meet Kathryn Bagley, a Chartered Legal Executive and Licensed Conveyancer based in our Bell Street, Henley office.

What led you to a career in conveyancing?

Way back in 1996, fresh from school, I started working at a local law firm in their conveyancing department and have been involved in residential property ever since. I started as a secretary, then moved into transaction support, before obtaining my qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) in 2019. The last 30 years have flown by professionally, as I really love my job, and my clients – both my head and my heart get invested in every transaction.

What do you think is key to maintaining lasting relationships with your clients?

Communication. I always make myself available to my clients and the other parties involved, such as estate agents, mortgage brokers, and the conveyancers on the other side, to ensure information flows in both directions and keeps transactions on track. Property may be just bricks and mortar, but for most buyers and sellers, it’s an emotive transaction, and they understandably want to be kept in the loop at every stage.

What is your favourite place to chill out?

By the sea, either in the UK or abroad. Chilling on the beach or trying to remain upright on a paddleboard – I find it all so relaxing. Historically, I have favoured Devon, but I’m thinking of exploring Wales this year.

You can find out more about Kathryn here.

Our Residential Property Law Team

THP Solicitors’ conveyancing team is one of the largest in the Thames Valley and is focused on a common-sense approach to getting the job done with as little stress as possible for everyone involved.

Our residential property team cover the full spectrum of conveyancing transactions, including:

  • Sales & Purchases
  • Transfers of Equity
  • Remortgages & Refinancing
  • Equity Releases & Lifetime Mortgages
  • Leasehold Enfranchisement & Extensions
  • Ownership & Rights of Way
  • Affordable Housing & Shared Ownership
  • Retirement Properties
  • Declaration of Trust

Comprised of experienced Solicitors, Legal Executives, Conveyancers, and support staff, we pride ourselves on providing a style of service that is tailored to you, because no two transactions are the same. We act for a wide range of clients from first-time buyers to clients who own portfolios of buy-to-let properties.

The majority of our work comes through recommendations from clients and unpaid referrals from local property agents who recognise the experience and professionalism with which we all deal with matters and the levels of service that we provide. Whilst we always seek to work collaboratively with estate agents and other industry professionals, we seek recommendations on our merit, not because anyone is being paid to say we are good.

Our fees are transparent and reflect the service we promise. There are no ‘add-ons’ or hidden fees, so no nasty surprises along the way.

We are members of The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and are on the panels of all major the lenders.

If you would like a quote for conveyancing, please contact us by phone on READING: 0118 975 6622 or HENLEY: 01491 570 900 or email us at ResidentialQueries@THPSolicitors.co.uk
